Cyclonic destoner
To remove heavy, foreign material such as rocks, stones and metal from product prior to processing.
Raw material is dropped into the conical cyclonic tank where the motorised paddle creates a swirling of the water and product in an anti-clockwise direction. The velocity of the swirling is adjusted by the speed of the paddle so that the product is discharged tangentially from the surface over a static dewatering screen. Heavy material will slide down the side of the cone to the bottom where a pump continuously pumps water from the balance tank back up into the cyclone through a vertical pipe connecting the bottom of the cyclone and the 'stone discharge auger'. By-pass valving between the pump discharge and balance tank will balance the circulation in the system.
The system consists of:
- Cyclonic product tank with variable speed paddle and tangential product discharge with static dewatering screen
- Re-circulation / balance tank
- In line propeller pump with balance valving
- Stone discharge auger
Made from stainless steel materials finished by glass beading.
