Rod - barrel washer

Tripax rod barrel washers are designed for the cleaning of root type vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, beets, pumpkins sweet potatoes etc.

The washer is a rotating drum on a decline suspended from and driven by V-belts.

The product is fed through an inlet chute to the inside of the drum, which is made with deflectors to tumble the product and promote the washing action. A number of sprays wash the product as it travels through the drum.

Water drains through longitudinal openings in the drum. The drum is driven by a geared motor, electric or hydraulic.

There is an adjustable gate at the outlet end that controls the flow of product out of the washer and thereby the processing time in the washer.
