There are many standard shred sizes available with this model, it starts at 3mm, 4mm, 5mm & 6mm being the thickest at this stage, the length of the shred is controlled by the crosscut knives. The shortest standard shred length is 30mm, then 60mm and so on in 30mm centres.

Block Chamber

A standalone piece of equipment with its own controls, this Shredder is designed to shred, grate or shave blocks of cheese in one continues motion. Manually fed the operator places the block into the chamber. By pressing the start button, the chamber door will close, the shredding disc will start to rotate, and the pneumatic cylinder will begin feeding the block through the crosscut knives and against the rotating shredding disc.

Shredded Disc & Wheel

The shredded product is then discharged via the front chute and onto a conveyor or collection tub to be forwarded to the next operation. When the pneumatic cylinder gets to the end of its stroke it will return to its home position, the shredding disc will stop rotating and the chamber door will open ready for the next block of cheese to be loaded and the cycle is repeated.

Standard Controls

This model can also be supplied & adapted with an automatic infeed system where there can be an accumulation of blocks waiting on an infeed conveyor ready to go one by one into the chamber as it calls for them. This creates a very even continuous flow of product for larger capacity requirements if there is a weigh head and auto bagging line ahead to keep up to.

There are a lot of different varieties of cheese, so we have managed to adapt the flexibility to achieve successful shredding, grating, and shaving utilising a speed controller for the shredding disc and pushing speed on the pneumatic cylinder.
So now we can shred the smallest thinnest shred of 3mm to the thickest at 6mm at a simple change to the shredding disc. Or Shave and grate some of the harder cheese types like Parmesan.
